With a voice described as soulful and rich, Sue Nixon’s artistry spans jazz, blues, bossa, pop, and rock with a distinctive style that draws audiences into an intimate musical experience.

Sue has long been a fixture of the Seattle music scene, and for 18 years was the house jazz singer at Serafina’s Restaurant. Sue has performed with Nearly Dan (Steely Dan tribute), Joey Jewell’s Sinatra at the Sands show with the Swinging Sixties Orchestra, and Craig Baker’s All-Stars classic rock band, at venues including Jazz Alley, Bake’s Place, and The Triple Door.

Her first CD, Even There, was produced and arranged by noted composer and performer Walt Wagner, followed by the CD, Moonglow with the Leo Raymundo Quartet. For years, Sue was the voice of Karen Carpenter on The Bob Rivers Show’s “Twisted Tunes,” showcasing her versatility and vocal range.

Sue recently began offering live-music houseboat parties on Lake Union as auction items. These events have raised over $25K for her favorite charities including Medic One Foundation, Bloodworks Northwest, Rotary, and Harvest Against Hunger.

Beyond the stage, Sue has held key leadership roles, including CEO of Fitch Seattle, President of Seattle Rotary, and her current role as Executive Vice President, Community & Donor Engagement at Bloodworks Northwest.
